Declaring war on bad debt

I am tired of watching money going in one hand and out of the other. I make pretty decent money and own a home and yet every month I don't have much left over. It's because of those looming credit card balances.
Whoever said debt can keep you up at night was not lying as as I have stayed up many nights thinking about it.
Time to stop thinking and start acting on it. I just took the last $2. out of my pocket and put it away. There is excess baggage in the house that I am willing to part with and bag lunches will be the order of the day from now on (coffee will be my only indulgence).
I will keep this blog updated regularly. Wish me luck.
Out of the red and into the black I go.

    Welcome and good luck. I, too, live in NJ, and taxes (federal, state, property), auto insurance, and the mortgage are a HUGE part of my outflow...
